Groups are individual communities within Yale Connect for each organization, club, department, and other Yale-affiliated organization. Each group has their own site and membership for which members can register for group events, receive notifications, share resources, and communicate with others.
To join a Group, select the Groups dropdown at the top of the homepage and select All Groups.

Tip: There are over 1,500 Groups in Yale Connect. These Groups are sorted into four Hubs. When you select the Groups dropdown from a specific Hub, you will only see the Groups assigned to that Hub, making it easier to search and find Groups of interest.
Use the filters and key word search box at the top of the page to find Groups of interest.
Select the checkbox next to each Group that you would like to join and select Join at the bottom of your screen.
A red checkbox indicates that membership to that Group is closed.
Depending on the Group’s settings, you may be automatically added to the Group. However, some Groups require validation, meaning that a Group Officer needs to approve of your membership.
Info: When first joining Yale as a student, staff, or faculty member, please be aware that you will be automatically added as a member to a select few Groups.
