Users can subscribe to a Group's calendar of events, which adds Group events to their personal calendars and allows them to see events coming up.
Note that subscribing to a calendar does not automatically register you to the events hosted by that Group.
To subscribe to a calendar, select Events from the top menu and select Subscribe to the right.
When the Subscribe window opens, search by scrolling to find the Group for which you would like to subscribe to its events. Once you have found the Group, select Copy Link, copy the link that opens, and select OK.
Taking the above steps will download an .ics file. When you open the .ics file, it will launch your default calendaring application and ask for your confirmation to sync the .ics feed with your calendar. Once you have confirmed this, all upcoming events the Group has planned will be added to your calendar.
If you are using Google Calendar and the .ics file does not create the .ical download when clicked on, take the following steps to add Group calendar to your calendar:
- In your Google Calendar, look for Other Calendars (on the left)
- Click on the arrow on the right and select Add as URL
- Paste the shared .ics link and click Add Calendar
